A survey has shown that around 11.03% of patients coming to clinics in Delhi are suffering from asthma and 11.69% from rhinitis, experts said on July 27, 2016, while attributing the causes to inhaled allergens.
According to a survey conducted by experts, the increasing prevalence of allergic disorders in the city has been more marked in the past two decades, with almost one in two people exhibiting an allergic response to some common environmental factor.
It is worth noting that in India allergic rhinitis (AR) comprises 55% of all allergies which is affecting 100 million people in the Indian subcontinent. Dust mite is the most common allergen in 45% of the cases. Adding to the miserable condition, spring is the toughest season for those suffering from allergic rhinitis.
An allergy can affect various parts of the body such as the skin, eyes and nose. If it affects your nose, you get a lot of annoying symptoms like sneezing, itching of the nose and also your nose gets runny and blocked, and your eyes keep watering.
